How can I help? / Ways to Serve

Below is a bundle of opportunities that will fit almost any volunteer:

RuraLove is looking for Christians willing to pick up and deliver furniture and donated items. Please contact the Goshen Ministry Center @ 540.894.8440 for more information and application.

The people of Goshen have these projects going on in 2018.
1) Support for nine church planters in Yendi, Ghana to be working with the “More than Nets” project. It will cost $360 each month to support all nine. Churches and individuals are needed to volunteer to take a month each year until 2021 when the partnership ends. This is the same amount we were paying one church planter the past five years. Please note: Church planters on your check.
2) "Camp of Dreams" Scholarship a Roma student at the Ruth School to attend a week in the mountains to have a Christian camping experience for a week. The cost per child is $200.00. That will provide their transportation, lodging, food and supplies for camp. The child will earn the scholarship by school attendance, grades and behavior. Please note: Camp of Dreams on your check.
3) The volunteers of RuraLove have been overwhelmed by how much the ministry of RuraLove has grown and prospered. The volunteers asked for a building fund to be set up for another building in which to house all the items which are for sale. And leave the items which go out to families in need in the current warehouse. This would allow more room to display items and make more money to go into helping the local families in crisis. We want to Praise The Lord for answered prayer. We received funds to erect not only one new building but four. God is so Good! So many local people come into RuraLove each week to shop and fulfill needs that they could not otherwise afford but due to the reasonable pricing of the RuraLove Thrift Shop. RuraLove volunteers thank everyone for their support through prayer, donations of item, and monetary funds. Please continue to help this ministry grow. Please note: RuraLove supplies or RuraLove ministry on your check

Candy & Gum Bags
Goshen will be collecting candy & gum bags again this year for the Trucker and Seafarers Ministry along the Eastern Shore. They will be due at the April Mission Celebration. Here are some helpful hints to make packing easier on the volunteers. Use ONLY sandwich sized zipper bags packed with individually wrapped hard candy and two packages of gum.
